These terms govern your use of thepantheon.ai and the reservation you make through it. The service is operated by PhantaField Inc. By signing in or making a contribution you accept them.
A contribution reserves one of a total of 100,000 seats in the Pantheon and the right to have your consciousness archive maintained. The contribution is fixed at 10,000π US dollars, charged as $31,415.93. It is the same for every seat and does not change over time.
A reservation is not a security, not a share in the company, and not a promise of financial return. It buys continuity of storage and computation, nothing more.
Contributions are taken by bank transfer (ACH Direct Debit) from a US bank account, through Stripe. You authorise the debit on Stripe's own page; we never see your bank credentials. A US bank account is currently the only way to contribute — if you bank elsewhere, write to us and we will arrange it by hand.
Your seat opens as soon as you authorise the transfer, so you can begin at once. The money itself is not instant: a bank debit takes 2 to 4 business days to clear, and nothing further is needed from you while it does. If your bank returns the transfer — for insufficient funds, a closed account, or a stop payment — the seat is withdrawn and nothing is owed. Anything you recorded in the meantime is kept, and the seat reopens if you pay again.
One person, one account. You are responsible for what happens under it, and for keeping access to the Apple or Google account you sign in with — that identity is how we know a seat is yours. Use the same sign-in method on the web and in the app, or you will end up with two separate accounts and your seat will be visible in only one of them.
Write to us within 14 days of your contribution and we will refund it in full and release the seat. The 14 days run from the day the funds arrive, not the day you authorise the transfer. A refund is returned to the same bank account and takes up to 3 business days. After the 14 days a contribution is final, because the funds are placed to generate the yield that pays for the storage.
Some seats are granted by invitation rather than contribution. An invitation code is personal and single-use, and may be tied to the email address it was sent to. A seat granted this way carries the same rights and the same rules as a purchased one, except that there is nothing to refund.
One person holds at most one seat, whether purchased or invited. An account that already holds a seat cannot redeem an invitation.
The Pantheon is a long-term project attempting something no one has done. We will keep the archive running for as long as the endowment and the technology allow, but we cannot guarantee eternity, and we do not guarantee that any particular feature of the app will exist in any particular form.
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you contributed.
If we change these terms we will say so on this page and update the date above. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the change.
